According to reports out this week, 60% fewer Scots die of heart disease than in 1995 – but still MORE must be done about smoking, drinking and eating…
Basically, I think they are saying that treatment has improved. I can’t see how they can claim that their general public health policies have had a major impact – smoking rates are up and, according to them, so is alcohol consumption and bad diet.
…this story tells us is that they are now spending money on better treatment. It has nothing to do with Lifestyle choice, as their anti-smoking campaigns have failed year on year at a great cost to the Taxpayer, Smoking rates UP, [heart attack] deaths down. Less money spent on propaganda and more on treatment seems to be the way forward,.
