Men of Harlech

The Welsh assembly are to debate stopping smoking in hospital grounds, sports and school grounds and in your own personal vehicles. While they are not yet proposing a ban in the home that you paid tens of thousands for, ASH Wales is openly talking of the children’s ‘right to a smoke-free environment AT HOME.’

The Health Officer Lesley Griffiths said:

Just as Wales took a bold step in creating smoke-free environments in public places, we have recognised that the time is right to champion new approaches to further protect children from the harms of second-hand smoke.

Recent statistics (item 2.2) clearly show that there has been very little effect on smoking prevalence for the £millions that have already been squandered on anti smoking initiatives and now their response is to punish the general population with more restrictions. Today tobacco, tomorrow your beer – and next year your Freedom!

Leave your children the most precious gift of all… FREEDOM!
