With the developed global economy in tatters, easy pickings are being made by zealots.
Zealots will always be hungry to make a living out of so-called ‘doing good’; they know it attracts easy government funding and can make a cosy living out of it.
Politicians, on the other hand, appear blinkered against neo-prohibitionists having been sold the so-called health agenda. They ignore the fact that millions are suffering at their expense -economically, socially and in health. They also ignore the fact that their countries are suffering at their expense – economically, socially and in health.
The neo-prohibitionists continue to march strongly, pushing their own products and rubbing their hands in the meantime. Little have our politicians recognised the ‘conflict of interest’ of those who oppose the rights of everyone to have a lifestyle choice that they choose.
Let’s see how the latest neo-prohibitionist gets on in New Zealand.
