Just a quick but worthy front page scribble as this week begins an important couple of weeks for f2c as our ‘political’ warrior Dave Atherton is, at this moment, packing his bags ready to fly to Amsterdam in preparation for a rather interesting debate on April 7th concerning tobacco products, prohibition and…  well, who knows what might come up?

Dave will be meeting Wiel Maessen for a beer or two and no doubt plenty of advice! The event is being hosted by Pfizer and (to the best of my knowledge) chaired by Prof Luke Clancy (ASH Ireland)!

The debate is actually listed as: debate on tobacco addiction which I find hilarious as most of the smokers I know consider smoking a pleasure and not an addiction! Anyway, that aside, I’m sure that we all wish Dave the very best in Amsterdam thursday morning.

A couple of weeks after this little jaunt, Dave is off to Austria to address the Austrian Pipe Smokers society & other interested tobacco parties. Again, Dave’s expenses have been covered and he will be staying in this rather nice hotel, courtesy of our Austrian friends.

Apart from our best wishes on this jaunt, Dave is armed with freedom2choose T-Shirts (well, I thought why not?) so as to announce our presence a bit louder.

Of course, we have to thank Dave for putting himself out to cover both events but then Dave is based in London so airports and destinations are easily within his reach

Dave, on behalf of all at f2c I applaud you, and you travel with our best wishes my friend as the good name of freedom2choose starts to be broadcast around Europe. This no small matter is not testament to Dave or myself, this is testament to the bloody hard work of all members, it just shows you all:-

We Are Being Noticed
