A little project that we hope everyone can join in with.
The idea is that people post their favourite freedom quotes below this post.
This can be done by adding a comment to the Facebook post you saw this in, or in this F2C Forum thread, so we can build up a database of them. Once we have enough of them we will add a little box at the top of the F2C blog and webpage labelled ‘Thought for the Day’.
Each day a random quote from the database would appear. This is a little like the ‘Random Quote’ box that e.g. ‘Velvet Glove, Iron Fist’ uses. The difference, apart from the title, is that each quote will be one suggested by members and supporters, rather than copied from some other source, and each one will stay in place all day.
Guidelines:
1. The quote should be relevant to the Freedom To Choose cause.
2. It should be reasonably well verified. There are some famous quotes that, technically, are mis-attributed. In these cases we might as well use the famous version, particularly if the quoted person actually used the quote second hand as it were.
3. We realise there are resources on the internet giving large numbers of quotes but we need them to be specific to Freedom To Choose rather than general ones. So please enter no more than, say, 3 per post.
