Our Chairman Dave Atherton frequently appears on radio and TV. These interviews and debates tend to be at very short notice so we can’t generally flag them up in advance. And the recordings are not always available after the event.

But Dick Puddlecote has flagged up a particularly fine example today. A debate with Fiona Andrews of Smokefree South West on BBC Wiltshire. In it she compares smokers to dogs and describes the smoking ban as the most popular legislation for 20 years. Pointing out that 14,000 pubs have closed and 150,000 people have lost their jobs, Dave questions whether people are really dancing in the streets over it.
